On April 5, 2022, Frito-Lay North America announced that, after more than 125 years as one of sport’s most iconic snacks, Cracker Jack® is adding a new face to its roster, with the introduction of Cracker Jill™ to celebrate the women who break down barriers in sports.
Tapping into the American cultural cornerstone, Baseball, the Cracker Jack® brand partnered with two Black female artists. Award-winning singer and dancer, Normani, reimagined the unofficial anthem of North American baseball (“Take Me Out to the Ball Game”), updating the lyrics to include Cracker Jill™ and to celebrate the tenacity and grit of women and girls in sports, while artist Monica Ahanonu conceptualized the five new faces of the Cracker Jack team (below).
