COVID-19 has changed the way we interact with each other for school and business. For many of us, that means face-to-face interactions have been replaced by days spent in virtual meetings on Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, FaceTime, GoToWebinar, WebEx, or the like. Whether you are video conferencing with classmates and professors, colleagues on your internal company team, or clients across the country, you need to competently utilize the features of the virtual conferencing platform and look your best while doing it.

Zoom 101: Tech and Techniques for Better Virtual Meetings will briefly weigh the pros and cons of various virtual meeting platforms, introduce the basics of participating and running a Zoom meeting, show you ways to make your Zoom meetings more interactive, boost your camera confidence and provide tools & tips to amplify your message with lighting, audio, backgrounds and wardrobe/makeup. Although Zoom will be used as an example for demonstration purposes, concepts will apply to other virtual meeting platforms.

The workshop is hosted by SC WIL and facilitated by SC WIL staffer, Eleanor Davis Pierel, and storytelling and live video consultant, Roshanda E. Pratt.

Registration is $25 and includes a one-hour interactive session and on-demand replay. Limited to 15 participants.

Made possible by a generous donation to the Dr. Suzan D. Boyd Pathways to Leadership Fund.
