My school hasn’t done a single thing for Women’s History Month

My name is Lily and I’m in 6th grade. My school did something for Black History Month every day last month. Images for Black History Month rotated on the televisions around our school, they put black historical figures on our morning news show, and they even put posters up! This month they haven’t done a single thing for Women’s History Month. I understand that Black History month is very important, but women make up 51% of the population, and should be recognized for all they have contributed and all they do.

Recognition of celebratory months at schools, like Women’s History Month, Black History Month and others, should recognize all cultures, religions, and genders so that some kids don’t feel as if they are any lesser or more superior.
