Developing Skills for Community Leadership Series: Volunteer Management and Communication Strategies for Social Impact

Through this interactive virtual workshop, you will learn best practices when recruiting, engaging, and managing volunteers for a project, campaign, or organization. You will also learn basic steps for developing communication campaigns to promote your social impact program. 

During the workshop, you will learn about:

  • Who is a volunteer? Why are volunteers important?
  • Best practices to recruit, engage, manage and integrate volunteers in relation to their profile and your needs.
  • Do’s and Don’ts when managing volunteers and developing a volunteer program
  • How to start a communication’s plan for your program or campaign using social media
  • Identifying and sharing the identity and values of your program

This workshop includes individual and group exercises. Participation in the exercises and discussions is expected of the attendees. No previous knowledge about the topics is required; this is an introductory workshop for all people interested in volunteer management and communication for social impact.
