Developing Skills for Community Leadership: Community Organizing for Racial Justice

This interactive virtual workshop will focus on developing the specific skills of building and facilitating safe and diverse environments and community organizing to advance racial justice. You will:

  • Learn strategies to lead and engage your local community
  • Understand the concepts of safe space, inclusivity, privilege/power, equity vs equality, intersectionality, and racial justice
  • Learn best practices for inclusivity and promoting racial justice when engaging with communities of color and underserved groups
  • Discuss examples and experiences of community organizers and their work with underserved communities and communities of color
