As the first Black woman and first Asian-American person to win a major party’s nomination, the presidential candidacy of Kamala Harris is an historic moment that will forever alter our society’s perception of power. Leading up to the General Election in November, you can expect SC WIL to offer timely news, information, and civil discourse about Harris’ campaign, as we would for any female candidate running for the highest elected office in the land. SC WIL remains multi-partisan and committed to collaboration and integrity in the political process. We do not endorse candidates and are steadfast in our mission to empower women to lead in elected and appointed office at all levels so that public leadership is representative of the communities they serve.
