With six women running for president this election cycle, a record number of women have run for the 2020 presidential nomination. This follows the momentum from last year when a record breaking number of women were elected to the U.S. House and Senate. It seems like a promising time for women in politics, yet a survey published Tuesday found that just 49% of men and 59% of women in the U.S. would feel “very comfortable” with a woman as the head of government.
