Development Director at Providence Home Columbia

Christy Cox currently serves as the Developmental Director of Providence Home. She has three decades of experience in communications, working as a television reporter and then in government, at the state and federal levels, including at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Canada. She has been a special advisor at the Nelson Mullins law firm since 2009. Christy started two businesses that she uses to honor Christ, and God has taken her on a journey from “chasing success to finding significance” that ultimately led her to Providence Home. She and her husband, Tobe, are parents to William, a member of the South Carolina National Guard and 2022 graduate of Clemson University, and Reagan, who is finishing up her degree in business at Columbia International University.  They are members of Covenant Baptist Church in West Columbia.

In C3, her consulting business, Christy provides speechwriting, public speaking coaching, resume writing, social media storytelling, letter writing and other communication services.
